Construction - Reflection - Week 10 Reflection Part 2

Today Daniel came up with a new idea, which was instead of filming at his restaurant as the starting scene he wants to be in a flashy apartment with a beautiful view of a city e.g London, New York, Paris etc, So as we haven't got the funds to rent out a flashy apartment, we will be using a green screen. So after this decision was made we went to the green screen room and filmed Daniel (Usher) on the phone (singing) to R.Kelly. 

This was a very long process as firstly we had to keep stopping as this was a new thing for us, so we were not completely sure what to do either. Secondly Daniel was quite shy, so we had to do some of his lines a few times.

Although from that i believe our group is on the right track to completing a successful music video by the deadline.

Construction - Reflection - Week 10 Reflection Part 1

We were up to date with all coursework that was outstanding and we have started on our filming. We are incorporating the green screen into our video and therefore we decided to film in front of a green screen as it is convenient and practical as it is located in our school making it easily accessible. We will also be using our female role in front of a green screen as well  but we haven't made arrangements yet however since we can use the green screen anytime we decided to postpone all the shooting we can do anytime for the more tricky settings such as going all the way into london into our group members restaurant to get it over and done with, this will be filmed during the weekend therefore this week we just contemplated ideas and shot some scenes in front of the green screen.

Construction - Reflection - Week 9 Reflection Part 1

Today we have started editing out first part of filming. We have also had a couple of difficulties such as when trying to edit on Adobe Premiere for some strange reason the video was lagging, so the RAM is not able to keep up with the video. After asking our teacher how to deal with this problem, Remi cut the clips down to the actual footage we needed, lined them up together, added video transition where the next clip starts a tad earlier so the audience is able to see both clips, for a short period of time, this adds continuity to the video which will hopefully keep the audience interested.

Construction - Reflection - Week 8 Reflection Part 2

Today we couldn't do much work on the computer because we didn't have any footage due to not shooting. We hadn't filmed yet due to certain group member having no free time due to work and to upcoming tests for other subjects. We had to keep our blog updated with a few weekly reflection posts as that was all we could do at the time.

Construction - Reflection - Week 8 Reflection Part 1

Today is our first lesson back since the christmas holidays. So we looked over our blog to make sure we had not left anything out or forgotten to post a piece of work. We then spoke about filming as we had decided as a group that after the christmas holidays we were going to start filming our music video. So today we had a discussion about when we were going to film and what scenes we were going to do. During this discussion we realised how far one of the restaurants we wanted to film at was, which is quite a problem for us as not all of us can get to the destination. So seeing as Daniel (Usher) is the only one that needs to be filmed in this particular scene, and only two people can go, we decided it would be Daniel and Vilson (Vilson will be filming). Although Remi and myself will not be there Daniel and Vilson will keeping us up to date on what shots they have taken, whats going wrong or right or any new ideas they think about while there.
